Privacy Policy

Information you give us

• Contact form: the name, email address, topic, and message you type. It is stored in our database so we can reply, and a copy is emailed to the address that runs the site.
• Review form: the rating, display name, and review text you submit for a laundromat. Reviews are published on the listing page as visitor submissions.
• Correction reports: the details you send when you report incorrect business information, together with the listing you were looking at.

We do not ask for payment details, we do not run user accounts, and we do not sell personal information.

Third-party services this site loads

• Ahrefs Web Analytics — measures page views and referrers. It does not set advertising cookies and does not build a profile of you.
• Google AdSense — display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to select and measure ads. Google receives your IP address and the page you are viewing.
• Geoapify — powers the map and the address search on the nearest laundromats page. When you type a place or address there, that text is sent to Geoapify to return matching locations, and map tiles are requested from their servers.
• Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used across the site.
• Hosting and database (Lovable Cloud) — serves the pages and stores form submissions. Standard server logs include IP address, user agent, and requested URL.

We do not currently run Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, remarketing campaigns, or affiliate tracking links.

Location and the nearest-laundromats map

The "Use my location" button asks your browser for your coordinates. Your browser will prompt you first, and you can refuse. When you allow it, the coordinates are used in your browser to sort our listings by distance and to centre the map; they are not stored in our database.

Cookies and local storage

• Your choice in the cookie notice is stored in your browser's local storage so the notice does not reappear. Nothing else about you is kept there.
• Google AdSense may set advertising cookies. If you decline in our cookie notice, we ask Google to serve non-personalised ads, which still requires a limited set of cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings or read how Google uses data from partner sites.

Data sharing and retention

Beyond the providers listed above, we share information only when required by law. Contact messages and correction reports are kept while the request is open and for our own record of the change; reviews stay published until the author or we remove them. Email us through the contact page to have your message or review deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us and we will handle the request ourselves — there is no automated process.

Security and children's privacy

We use the access controls and encrypted connections provided by our hosting and database platform, though no website can guarantee absolute security. The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13; we do not knowingly collect their information.
